SUNDAY FUZZ BREW RETURNS TO WILD ROSE BREWERY IN SUPPORT OF JOSH MORRISSEY’S GLASS HALF FULL FOUNDATION

Revenues from limited edition Alberta beer sales to support mental health initiatives

ALBERTA (March 31, 2022)Alberta’s Wild Rose Brewery Ltd. (“Wild Rose”) and Winnipeg Jets defenseman, Josh Morrissey, are excited to announce the return of Sunday Fuzz, a seasonal brew for a cause. The partnership between Wild Rose and Alberta native Morrissey began in 2021 and is aimed at raising awareness and promoting positivity around mental health. Starting April 1st, a portion of the proceeds from all Sunday Fuzz sales will be donated to Morrissey’s charity, the Glass Half Full Foundation (“GHF Foundation”), which benefits mental health organizations.

The amplification of mental health challenges experienced by individuals during the pandemic prompted Morrissey to take action with the launch of his Foundation and its inaugural partnership with Wild Rose Brewery last summer. The partnership will continue to raise much-needed funds while also generating awareness for mental health issues and dismantling harmful narratives.

“My fiancée, Margot, and I started the Glass Half Full Foundation with the goal of promoting mental wellbeing as Canadians continued to face ‘invisible’, but very real, challenges related to the pandemic and other ongoing stressors,” says Morrissey. “We are thrilled to be working with Wild Rose Brewery again to raise funds and ultimately have a positive impact on the mental health landscape in Canada.”

Through round two of Sunday Fuzz, Morrissey hopes to continue to encourage Canadians to engage in open, candid conversations around mental health that will result in the feelings of optimism that his ‘glass half full’ ethos is all about. The collaboration with Wild Rose will further the GHF Foundation’s mission to promote these conversations, raise awareness and help remove stigmas associated with mental health. The foundation has been structured to support several registered charities that are making the biggest differences in the world of mental health.

Sunday Fuzz will be available for purchase online, in-store at retailers across Alberta and at the Wild Rose Taproom. The peach-flavoured Hefeweizen is a fruit-forward German wheat beer filled with real peach puree that offers a strong stone fruit aroma, with a tart edge and finish courtesy of a hint of apricot puree.

“Wild Rose is proud to once again be joining forces with Josh Morrissey and the Glass Half Full Foundation to support mental wellness in our community and give back to a cause that is close to our hearts,” says Candace Potter, Brand Manager, Wild Rose Brewery. “It is our hope that together we can make a difference in the lives and wellbeing of our fellow Albertans, both through the funds raised by this campaign and through the joy and levity of Sunday Fuzz itself.”

Wild Rose Brewery’s support for mental health initiatives also extends to past partnerships with other charitable organizations, including the Centre for Suicide Prevention and Huddle Up For Suicide Prevention. Sunday Fuzz beer will be available until fall 2022, or while quantities last. For more information about Wild Rose Brewery, please visit https://wildrosebrewery.com.
