New store creates 85 jobs and brings fresh foods, a fresh bakery and hot chicken program to the Lethbridge community
October 29, 2026, Brampton, ON — No Frills®, one of Canada’s leading hard-discount grocery retailers, is opening a new location in Lethbridge, Alberta, bringing everyday value, quality fresh foods and a wide variety of products to local shoppers.
Located at 2920 26 Avenue South, Brad & Briana’s No Frills® will offer customers a full grocery shop, with quality produce, everyday essentials and a wide assortment of products at affordable prices. The store will also feature in store bakery and hot chickens, along with local and multicultural foods and a variety of natural food options.
For Store Owners Brad and Briana Prochnau, the opening marks an exciting next step following more than a decade of experience in retail. With Brad’s parents having previously owned and operated a No Frills® store, the pair have gained firsthand experience in the business and are excited to follow in their footsteps as Store Owners.
“We’re incredibly excited to open Brad & Briana’s No Frills® and put down roots here in Lethbridge,” said Brad Prochnau. “We’re new to the community, but we’re looking forward to getting to know our customers, building strong local relationships and making Lethbridge our home. Our team is ready to provide the value, quality and fresh products our customers expect, and we can’t wait to welcome everyone through our doors.”
The new store will create 85 jobs and is designed to provide Lethbridge shoppers with a convenient, welcoming and value-driven grocery experience.
As part of its commitment to reducing food waste, the store will also participate in the Loop program, helping redirect food that cannot be donated to local food banks to local farms rather than going to waste.
To celebrate the grand opening, Brad & Briana’s No Frills® will donate $1,000 to the Lethbridge Food Bank and $1,000 to The Last Chance Cat Ranch, supporting organizations that serve the local community.
Brad & Briana’s No Frills®, located at 2920 26 Avenue South in Lethbridge, will be open daily from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.
