Michael Graydon joins Food & Consumer Products of Canada (FCPC) as Chief Executive Officer, effective Sept. 12, 2016. He brings a depth and breadth of experience and skills that will provide strong leadership to FCPC. He will work closely with the Board of Directors, Board of Governors, FCPC staff and our key stakeholders to drive sustainable growth for the association and for the industry.
Graydon attended Western University in London, Ontario and INSEAD, one of the world’s leading and largest graduate business schools. He has experience with a retailer buying group and in a variety of important industries, including advertising, grocery retail, food service and food processing. Each of these roles provides relevant experience with many facets of the food and consumer products industry and gives him a solid platform for growth. More recently, Graydon led the British Columbia Lottery Corporation as well as a casino development company. These roles required active engagement with all levels of government, as well as key consumer groups.
His experience across multiple industries combined with his multi-stakeholder management makes him ideally suited for the FCPC role. He has a proven track record of strong and active leadership, proactive and collaborative stakeholder engagement, and he knows how to grow and sustain results.
Over the next few weeks, Graydon will be working with FCPC staff and committees to get up to speed quickly, and he will be reaching out to our many partners and stakeholders to proactively engage in discussions and collaborate on our key issues.
Graydon will bring a broad Canadian perspective, having worked in Nova Scotia, Ontario and, most recently, British Columbia. He has recently moved from Vancouver to Toronto with his wife, Sarah, and daughter, Emma.
FCPC is excited to have Graydon join and lead FCPC and continue our growth into a strong and sustainable organization, one that supports the expansion and prosperity of Canada’s dynamic food and consumer goods industry.
