Fresh St. Market makes its Richmond debut bringing a public market experience to one of
Metro Vancouver’s most food-passionate cities.
June 15, 2026 – hən̓̓qəmin̓əm̓ and Sḵwx̱wú7mesh traditional territory / Burnaby, B.C. – Fresh St. Market today announced the upcoming opening of a Richmond location at 6553 Park Road. Located at CF Richmond Centre, a fully integrated residential, lifestyle and retail mixed use development that caters to the immediate dining and retail needs of the City of Richmond and beyond. The new 26,425 square feet store, set to open in Summer 2027, will mark a significant milestone as the company’s 10th location in British Columbia.
“Richmond has one of the most exciting food cultures in Metro Vancouver with a focus on fresh, quality ingredients making Fresh St. Market an exceptional fit for this municipality and its residents,” said Palle Knudsen, Vice President of Retail Operations & Marketing at Georgia Main Food Group Limited. “We have been looking for the right opportunity to bring Fresh St. Market to Richmond for years and this location at Richmond Centre is centrally located in the hub of the city and abundant with visitors. We cannot wait to introduce Fresh St. Market to this bustling food-loving community.”
A New Home for Fresh, Local Food at CF Richmond Centre
Conveniently located at CF Richmond Centre, Fresh St. Market Richmond will serve as a one-stop destination for everything from locally sourced fresh produce and Certified Angus Beef to in-house freshly made sushi daily, its signature hot off the plate cookies, Peak Donuts, carvery and more. The store will feature Fresh St. Market’s expansive hot bar concept with ready-to-eat meal options and dedicated seating areas.
The new location is expected to create significant local employment opportunities and will partner with a vast range of B.C. producers, continuing Fresh St. Market’s longstanding commitment to supporting local suppliers and the provincial economy.
“We are thrilled to welcome Fresh St. Market to CF Richmond Centre, this key development perfectly aligns with our vision of transforming the centre into a truly vibrant community hub,” said Julia Dow, General Manager, CF Richmond Centre. “This opening is another exciting step in creating a space where our community of residents and shoppers can gather, connect, and enjoy modern amenities, and we look forward to seeing the energy and life it will bring to our property.”
As with all Fresh St. Market locations, the Richmond store will be home to two of the company’s signature community programs. Fresh St. Market has partnered with FoodMesh since 2020, diverting surplus edible food into the equivalent of nearly three million meals, benefitting charities and individuals across the province. The location will also offer the popular Borrow a Bag program, a circular reusable bag system where customers can borrow a bag for a refundable deposit of $2.99, return it when finished, and have it laundered and returned to the store for continued use.
“What excites us most about Richmond is the opportunity to connect with so many passionate food lovers who care deeply about where their food comes from,” added Knudsen. “That shared commitment to quality and local is at the heart of everything we do at Fresh St. Market, and we look forward to earning a place in this community for years to come.”
