NORTH PRAIRIE, Wisconsin – March 9, 2026 – In response to a demand for platform systems, Zero Zone is proud to introduce the newest addition to its Genesys™ Edge™ line, the Edge Compact® condensing unit. Designed to support transcritical CO₂ (R744) applications, the Edge™ Compact® condensing unit delivers an efficient, futureproof solution for industrial and commercial refrigeration systems.
At the core of the Edge™ Compact® is a Copeland™ scroll compressor selected for its durability, reduced vibration, and wide turndown capability. The scroll compressor provides stable, precise cooling across varying load conditions while helping improve overall system efficiency. An integrated active oil management system supports reliable compressor operation and long-term performance, while the unit’s distributed architecture simplifies installation and reduces the need for piping.
The Edge™ Compact® condensing unit is purpose-built for modularity and flexibility. Its platform-based design allows capacity to scale as system needs change, making it well suited for small to midsize refrigeration applications. The unit supports operating ranges from 10°F to 30°F, ambient conditions from 20°F to 105°F, and is designed for 130/90bar operation, providing dependable performance across a wide range of environments.
Additional efficiency is achieved through optional adiabatic or dry gas cooling configurations, which help optimize condenser performance in higher ambient conditions. The Edge™ Compact® is ideal for walk-ins, specialty retail refrigeration, pharmaceutical processing, and applications requiring redundancy in a compact footprint.
