VoCoVo Link is designed for smaller U.S. retailers to improve communication, efficiency and safety of team members.
Aurora, Illinois, USA – 27th September 2024: VoCoVo, the retail communications specialist, has today launched VoCoVo Link in the North American market, a new wearable headset device specifically designed for the needs of small and medium retail environments, such as convenience stores, aimed at improving team communication and safety by connecting team members instantly and discreetly.

A lightweight headset that is already gaining rapid market traction in Europe, VoCoVo Link delivers crystal clear audio and enables team members to access instant and discreet communication with each other. This ensures teams are always connected and available to provide assistance, helping retailers overcome issues around crime and associate safety, as well as improving everyday efficiencies like supporting customers, through enhanced team connectivity.
The launch of VoCoVo Link in the US market builds on the company’s well-established reputation in the UK and Europe, serving some of the largest retailers including The Fresh Market, Tesco, Iceland and Asda.

For use by up to eight team members concurrently, VoCoVo Link is designed specifically for smaller footprint retail stores and underlines VoCoVo’s commitment to provide connectivity to retailers of all sizes. VoCoVo Link not only improves safety by allowing team members to be in constant contact with each other, but the visible headset itself often acts as a deterrent to criminals.
Global research conducted by VoCoVo has found that 81% of small retail stores in the US admit to having challenges with communication in store, with the leading issue cited as team members having no way to speak with each other discreetly without customers hearing. The survey revealed that over half (57%) of small retailers currently rely on making calls using personal cell phones to communicate with each other in-store.
VoCoVo Link resolves these challenges, allowing retailers to provide team members with a durable, long-lasting, cost-effective hands-free headset that is comfortable to wear for the duration of their shift. This reduces the reliance on cell phones which can cause distractions to team members and be off-putting for customers in need of support.
Rob Gamlin, Founder and Co-CEO, VoCoVo, said: “VoCoVo Link can support North American retailers to reach new levels of efficiency, improved safety, and enhanced customer service delivery. Independent retailers are at the heart of communities all across the globe, and it’s never been more important to create solutions that ensure people’s safety and wellbeing is prioritized whilst serving their communities. In VoCoVo Link, we’ve created a cost-effective solution which delivers tangible value to these businesses and their people.”
The research also highlighted user-friendliness as the number one consideration for store owners when adopting new communications technology. An out-of-box solution, VoCoVo Link is ready to use within minutes, allowing retailers to quickly and easily roll it out among team members and begin seeing immediate benefits. While simplicity is at the heart of VoCoVo Link, retailers can access a range of after-sales support and user guides through the VoCoVo Link App. VoCoVo Link will be made available through a global network of distributors and resellers.
Beth Worrall, Co-CEO of VoCoVo, added: “It was important to us that we invested time to speak with store owners in the US about the issues they face daily and ensure VoCoVo Link’s design and functionality addressed these head on. Through this process, it was clear issues of safety and efficiency are keenly felt in smaller retail environments with fewer team members on shift at any one time with reliance on cell phones a widespread concern. With VoCoVo Link, team members no longer have to feel isolated and are provided with a safe, effective means of connectivity.”
VoCoVo Link is the company’s latest product release following the Series 5 Pro Headset which launched last year and enhances VoCoVo’s history of providing innovative retail solutions to the industry.
VoCoVo Link can be purchased in the UK, USA, and mainland Europe from Summer 2024. For more information visit: link.vocovo.com
