VertiFarm 2022 set to launch with a broad range of exhibitors
The new trade show for innovative, sustainable cultivation and breeding methods of the future

VertiFarm, the international trade show for next-level farming and new food systems, will be taking place at Messe Dortmund for the first time between 27 and 29 September 2022. The show’s conceptual partner is the Association for Vertical Farming (AVF). They are actively involved with this new industry platform with the established SUMMIT ‘Unifying New Food Systems – to Grow out of Niche’ which takes place for the 6th time this year. The venue operator is already announcing a small preview of what promises to be a wealth of innovative exhibitors.

Dortmund, 11 May 2022 – The focus of VertiFarm from 27 to 29 September will be the sustainable cultivation of fresh food in the immediate vicinity of densely populated urban areas and as a future mainstay for feeding the world’s population. At the new show which, like its supporting programme, will focus on the Growing & Processing, Pharma and Retail, exhibitors will be able to make useful contact with potential new customers, manufacturers, distributors and other key players in the industry. Visitors to the show will gain an up-to-the-minute overview of new products and production systems for sustainable agriculture and can also discover more about healthy growing options for the home.

Broad mix of exhibitors
Visitors to the show can look forward to seeing market leaders as well as trendsetters and pioneers in the industry from Germany, the UK, South Korea, the US, Switzerland, the Netherlands and elsewhere. Among those who have confirmed their participation are Hoogendoorn, a global innovator in automated horticulture, and Bosman van Zaal, a point of contact for plant production systems in the food, floriculture and pharmaceutical sectors. Agrilution, a system provider for vertical farming in the home, indoor farming network partner Cultivatd and Intravision, a photobiology and system integration company, will also be putting their expertise on show. Seoul Semiconductor, a leading supplier of LED products and technologies, MABEWO Greentube, a technology developer and distributor of modular indoor farming systems, TTA with machines for processing and sorting plants and IGS, a platform specialist for optimum climatic conditions, will also be exhibiting at the show. They will be joined by S.C. Dexion Storage Solutions with smart storage solutions and Würth Elektronik the leading seller of electronic components and system assemblies.

What exhibitors say about the new VertiFarm
“We are very much looking forward to the new VertiFarm show in Dortmund and are expecting it to give us many ideas and lively exchanges as we discuss sustainable cultivation. The special attention that this trending topic enjoys can be seen from the fact that we already have to maintain a waiting list for our fast-growing vertical farming ecosystem for the home!” said Maximilian Lössl, Founder & CEO of Agrilution. “The growing world population combined with the increasing demand for good and healthy food requires a new approach. To feed the future, our agricultural system needs to aim higher. And that’s why TTA develops automation equipment for indoor farming and high-tech horticulture – to help feed this growing population in a more sustainable way.” added Peter Rietveld, Business Development Director at TTA.

Diversity of subject matter at the AVF Summit 2022
