Save-On-Foods returns to Port Moody with grand opening of new neighbourhood store

(September 12, 2025 – Port Moody, B.C.) Save-On-Foods is proud to announce the grand opening of its newest store in Port Moody, marking a meaningful return to the community after more than four decades.

Located at 221 Ioco Road in the heart of Heritage Mountain Shoppers Village, the new 13,000-square-foot store officially opened its doors at 8 a.m. on Friday, September 12, with a weekend of celebrations running through September 14.

Designed with convenience and community in mind, Save-On-Foods Port Moody brings customers the very best of the brand in a smaller, easy-to-shop format—offering fresh, local finds, high-quality products, and unbeatable savings.

“This store is a reflection of our commitment to serving each neighbourhood in a way that’s tailored to its unique needs,” said Jamie Nelson, president of Pattison Food Group. “We are thrilled to be back in Port Moody, and excited to bring our signature quality, service, and local products to this vibrant community.”

The store will feature a selection of fresh produce, meat, dairy, and grocery essentials, along with exclusive Save-On-Foods Kitchen offerings like fresh sushi and bento boxes, Western Family favourites including sparkling water, and fresh baked goods made with real ingredients including artisan breads, croissants, muffins and pies. Local customers looking to do larger shops can shop online at saveonfoods.com and their orders will be fulfilled and delivered by the nearby Sunwood ecommerce centre in Coquitlam.

“Port Moody is a special place, and we’re proud to be part of it,” said Steve McCue, store manager. “Our team is ready to welcome our neighbours with open arms and deliver the exceptional experience Save-On-Foods is known for.”

To celebrate the grand opening, Save-On-Foods Port Moody is offering exciting promotions and activities to customers. On opening day, 500 lucky shoppers will be randomly selected to receive a free $10 gift card. From September 12 to 24, customers who spend $50 or more will be entered into a contest to win a $500 gift card, with the winner announced on September 25. Shoppers can also enjoy three weeks of exclusive in-store coupons valid through October 1, offering special savings on a variety of items. Plus, the store will host a weekend of family fun, including food sampling, live demos, and community engagement activities.

The company last operated in Port Moody in the ’80s under the Your Mark-It Foods banner. This opening brings Save-On-Foods’ presence in the Tri-Cities five stores and expands its total footprint to 189 stores across B.C., Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, and the Yukon.
