Costco says it will be implementing a new change for its Canadian warehouses in 2026.
The retail giant extended its hours over the holidays, giving customers more time to shop during the busy season.
And now, longer hours will become permanent.
“You thought that new weekend hours (were) just for the holidays? Think again. We’re making this a permanent change in the new year,” a Costco spokesperson said in a video posted on social media.
“Instead of 6 p.m., your local Costco warehouse will close at 7 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays going forward.”
Previously, Costcos were open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekends. Now, they will be open from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Weekday hours won’t change.
From Monday to Friday, the hours will continue to be 9 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.
