Hellmann’s Tackles Fridge Clutter with Flavours Campaign & New Chicken Wing Mayo Dips #EndCondimentHoarding

1 in 3 Canadians (30%) identify as condiment hoarders, with 52% of Gen Z and 36% of Millennials admitting to cluttered fridges full of half-used bottles. While Canadiens crave flavour variety, they also want efficiency, 71% say versatility is a top priority when choosing condiments

This spring, Hellmann’s is tackling fridge clutter head-on with the Flavours products, designed to help Canadians declutter without sacrificing taste. The brand is introducing the new Chicken Wing Mayonnaise Style Dips, available in Garlic Parmesan and Buttermilk Ranch, rich, creamy, and versatile enough to replace multiple single-use sauces. These dips pair effortlessly with wings, burgers, sandwiches, wraps, and more, making them a fridge staple rather than a forgotten bottle.

In addition to launching two new products, Hellmann’s is searching for ! On  Instagram, Canadians can DM the photo of their oldest condiment. With 60% admitting to using expired condiments, we expect jaw-dropping finds! Participants receive a surprise discount, and the oldest condiment owner wins a special prize.

  • 71% of Canadians say pre-mixed condiments make cooking easier compared to mixing condiment ingredients together from scratch (81% of Gen Z agree).
  • 82% say they’d rather have 5 core condiments than 20.
  • 45% say condiments take up unnecessary large amount of fridge space (rising to 65% for Gen Z).
  • 60% admit they sometimes use condiments past their expiration date.
  • 49% say many of their condiments expire before they can finish them.
