Mike Lovsin of Freson Bros., who has spent decades building one of Canada’s finest independent grocers and championing independent retailers across the country, has been named a recipient of the food industry’s most prestigious honour.
Congratulations as well to the two other recipients: Michael Graydon, CEO Food, Health and Consumer’s Products of Canada and Brent Cator of Cardinal Meats, who carries on his family’s century-long legacy of quality and food safety leadership.
The Golden Pencil is the most prestigious honour in the Canadian food industry, awarded since 1957 to people who have made a lasting contribution to it.
