New location will feature new offerings including a Burrito Bar, hot meal self service and seating area
April 15, 2024, hən̓̓qəmin̓əm̓ and Sḵwx̱wú7mesh traditional territory / Burnaby, B.C. – Georgia Main Food Group is excited to announce its 8th Fresh St. Market location will open at 150 Esplanade West in North Vancouver in the Fall 2024. The current IGA has operated here for 22 years and will remain fully open as it transitions into Fresh St. Market in the coming months.
“I would like to thank all our loyal customers for their patronage of IGA in Lower Lonsdale and want you to know our transition into a Fresh St. Market will bring a new fresh grocery experience that will be exciting – a place where you will find the best local produce and ready-to-go foods and where you can dine-in with friends and family at your leisure,” said Gary Sorenson, Chief Operating Officer, Georgia Main Food Group.
The current store will stay open entirely during the renovation, continuing to serve its valued customers and community. It is in the early stages of the renovation with various departments undergoing transformations and customers can expect the same seamless and enjoyable shopping and customer service experience with some fun gifts and happy surprises along the way.
Sorenson adds, “Customers can see from the new store renderings our North Vancouver Fresh St. will have the fresh elements similar to other locations and as well, it will really reflect the Lower Lonsdale living experience with sections like our Esplanade Delicatessen, Shipyards Kitchenware -nods to its location – and more. This Fresh St. Market location will have its first-ever Burrito Bar, a hot meal self service bar and carving station, and it will also have a seating area for customers to comfortably enjoy their food and beverages. We are beyond excited to bring Fresh St. Market’s fresh food and shopping experience to Lower Lonsdale.”
Fresh St. Market’s official opening date and celebrations will be announced in the near future.
