TORONTO – September 19, 2025: The Canadian Health Food Association (CHFA) is pleased to announce the acquisition of the Association Canadienne des Produits Naturels (ACPN), bringing together two long-standing, member-based associations with a shared commitment to advancing the natural health products (NHP) sector nationally.
This amalgamation represents a unique opportunity to combine the decades-long influence of ACPN with the national reach and resources of CHFA, ensuring stronger representation for the Quebec market while sustaining ACPN’s vital role within the industry.
“By joining forces, we are building a stronger, more united voice for natural health products across Canada,” said Aaron Skelton, CHFA president and CEO. “This partnership will preserve ACPN’s legacy while expanding the services and advocacy capacity available to its members.”

- Expanded Resources and Services – Members will benefit from CHFA’s extensive network of over 1,000 members, robust regulatory and advocacy capabilities, and expanded member engagement activities.
- Stronger Advocacy – With a unified voice, CHFA/ACPN will be better positioned to influence policy, engage with Health Canada, and protect the interests of NHP stakeholders nationwide.
- Dedicated Quebec Focus – A new Quebec-based team lead, Jules Gorham, has been appointed as Senior Director of Quebec Affairs, providing regional insights and French language support.
“This is a natural evolution for ACPN,” said David Pelletier, outgoing President of ACPN. “Our collaboration with CHFA over the years has proven that we are stronger together. This amalgamation ensures that our members’ voices remain strong, well-resourced, and impactful at both the provincial and federal levels.”
The integration of ACPN into CHFA took effect on July 7, 2025, with operational and administrative transitions beginning immediately. ACPN will retain its distinct voice within CHFA, allowing its members to have their regional issues and priorities heard while benefiting from CHFA’s scale and capabilities.
