AFPA – Study on Grocery Retailer Fees in Alberta

Agricultural economist Sven Anders and Bruno Wichmann are working with the
Quebec Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food and the
Federal-Provincial-Territorial (FPT) Working Group on Retail Fees on a
national study about the impacts recent grocery retailer fee hikes and
related fee practices have on food suppliers, producers, manufacturers, and
processors in Alberta and across Canada. We are inviting company managers
and industry organization representatives to participate in a short
confidential survey that seeks to elicit industry feedback on the issue of
retailer fees on Canadian food supply. The anonymous data we collect through
this survey and information shared with us will enter into a report for the
FPT Working Group in aggregate form. No company or organization specific
information will be made available.

We would be grateful if you would be willing to participate in this study
and share your perspective on this important issue for the Canadian food
industry by April 8. Access Survey HERE!

Anybody who may be more open to talking on the phone rather than filling
out a survey. Please contact Sven information below. Once we have a good set
of responses from AB we will share the insights.
