Save-On-Foods announces organizational structure changes to support future growth

(September 3, 2020 – Langley, B.C.) Western Canadian grocery retailer Save-On-Foods is making changes to its organizational structure at the executive and vice president level to support the next phase of the company’s growth strategy and to drive long-term success. All changes below take effect October 1, 2020.

With the recent announcement of his retirement in May 2021, current Senior Vice President of I.T., Supply Chain and e-Commerce Wayne Currie will assume the role of Senior Vice President, Special Projects.

Executive Vice President of Save-On-Foods Jamie Nelson will maintain responsibility for all merchandising, real estate and store development, people and communications, and marketing functions. In addition, he will now oversee the digital and analytics areas of our business.

Executive Vice President of Finance Paul Hazra will assume the role of Chief Financial Officer. Hazra will add I.T. and the development of an Enterprise Planning function to his portfolio.

Currently Senior Vice President of Merchandising, Mike Olson will take on the new role of Senior Vice President, Business Development, Supply Chain and Innovation. He will now assume accountability for all third-party partnerships, supply chain and inventory management.

Currently Senior Vice President of Health, Wellness and Our Brands, Brenda Kirk will take over the role of Senior Vice President, Merchandising and will lead the merchandising functions for the company.

Five senior leaders promoted

General Manager of Centre of Store Dan Hansen will assume the role of Vice President, Centre of Store, and will play a critical role supporting Brenda Kirk in her new role.

Vice President of Save-On-Foods B.C. Paul Cope will assume the role of Senior Vice President, Retail Operations of all banners including, Save-On-Foods, Urban Fare PriceSmart Foods and Bulkley Valley Wholesale. Cope will also oversee e-Commerce operations.

With Cope’s promotion, Vice President of Prairie Operations Ben Harrack will take on the position of Vice President, Save-On-Foods B.C. Operations. Using his experience over the past four years leading the Prairie stores, Harrack will oversee all Save-On-Foods stores in B.C.

Vice President of People and Communications Heidi Ferriman has been promoted to Senior Vice President, People and Corporate Affairs. Since joining the company’s vice president team two years ago, Ferriman has driven an aggressive and progressive people strategy.

Managing Director of Finance Mona Kragh will take on the role of Vice President, Finance and Enterprise Planning. A recognized and well-respected business leader, Kragh has the requisite skills and experience for this expanded role.

Managing Director of Data and Analytics Andy Donaher will take on the role of Vice President, Digital Analytics. Donaher will take on management of the company’s e-Commerce platform.
