Cochrane, AB – April 15, 2024 – On Thursday, April 18, Calgary Co-op will break ground on its first Calgary Co-op food store and retail complex in Cochrane. Media are invited to attend and capture the groundbreaking and celebrate Calgary Co-op’s expansion to the Greystone community in Cochrane. Interviews and photo opportunities will be available on-site. The store is slated to open in 2025.

Getting there: Those coming from Calgary can take Crowchild Trail / Highway 1A, turn left on Fifth Avenue in Cochrane, left again onto Railway St W, right onto River Ave, and left on Griffin Road E.

About Calgary Co-op Cochrane
Just north of Cochrane’s SLS Recreation Centre, the site will be home to a 41,275 sq. ft. Food Store as well as Co-op Cannabis, Wine Spirits Beer (WSB), a Service Station, Car Wash and Convenience Store. The site will include approximately 31,000 sq. ft. of additional commercial retail space. This is Calgary Co-op’s first Food Store built in Cochrane where it presently has a WSB location only. It is also the first store to be built since its Calgary Sage Hill location opened in the fall of 2021.
