Community Natural Foods Has Arrived in Edmonton

Edmonton’s new home for a healthy planet and a healthy you

Edmonton, AB – June 15, 2023 – Community Natural Foods is pleased to announce the opening of a new store in Edmonton. This is the fourth Community Natural Foods store in Alberta, and the first of its kind outside of Calgary.

“This is a tremendous opportunity to introduce this long-established and well-respected health food store to the Edmonton market, one that is currently underserved in the health food retail space,” says Ken Keelor, CEO Calgary Co-op, President Community Natural Foods.

The new Community Natural Foods store opened June 9th in the vibrant community of Old Strathcona. The over 10,000 square foot store offers a huge array of organic produce, meat, and dairy; a broad selection of grocery items for all dietary preferences; a large supplement and natural body care section; and a fresh juice, elixir, smoothie, and grab n’ go bar. The Community Natural Foods experience is about nourishing the body and mind and will also offer practitioner-led educational events in support of whole health, beauty, diet, and wellness.

Keelor adds, “we believe that wellness should be available for all, and we strive for this through the sharing of knowledge, offering choices in products we carry, and supporting local producers and partners invested in the wellness of our community members. We’re looking forward to assisting the people of Edmonton with their wellness journey.”

Community Natural Foods is prioritizing Edmonton-Area and Alberta products. One of the first things we did was put the call out for more Edmonton-local brands.
