Canadian Food Banks will receive a package of coffee for each one sold at levelground.com
April 1, 2020, Victoria, BC – This April, Level Ground is donating a 300 gram package of coffee to Canadian food banks for each coffee package purchased on their retail website. The Buy-One-Give-One campaign will support The Mustard Seed Food Bank in Victoria, BC as well as food banks in Vancouver and Toronto. It is aimed at bolstering coffee supplies at food banks, while encouraging consumers to stay home as much as possible during the COVID-19 pandemic.
“Our coffee community was built on the human connections between our customers, our team and the farmers we work with, but right now we’re encouraging customers to make that connection a little differently and maybe take one less trip to the grocery store,” said Stacey Toews, co-founder, Level Ground Trading. “It’s easy and safe for customers to order our coffees and have them delivered to their home, and now for the month of April, they will also be helping people in need across the country.”
Level Ground has seen an increase in their online orders recently, when normally the vast majority of their eight coffee varieties are sold through small and large retailers across Canada. They decided to encourage more customers to do the same so they can stay home instead of going out to get their favourite brew. The Level Ground website includes 300 gram, two pound and five pound packages, available for direct-to-home delivery. Level Ground hopes to donate at least 1,000 bags of coffee to The Mustard Seed and other partner food banks.
“As we continue to work together to support the most vulnerable, I am grateful to businesses that support our food bank. These partnerships are key in strengthening our communities. Thank you Level Ground for your support,” said Janiene Boice, senior director, The Mustard Seed.
